We received this from Doug Hemphill:
My father was Jeff Douglas Hemphill. He served two tours with vpb-104. I have his tour books, flight logs and personal photos. Also, I have a very high quality photo of his crew at Carney before a mission to Bougainville. I would would like to donate some of this so people will remember. My dad was a pilot, then pilot plane commander. He received a bunch of distinguished flying crosses and a silver star.
1st tour. He is bottom far right. It’s from a contact print that I reworked in photoshop. On the back, it says they were headed to Bougainville.
