The U.S. Navy Patrol Bombing Squadron (VB later renamed VPB)-104 saw action flying the PB4Y-1 Liberator (modified Army Air Force B-24) and then the PB4Y-2 Privateer during WWII in the Pacific Theater between April 1943 and October 1945.
